We thought there is no better time to introduce an intriguing webinar on an even more intriguing subject: electron diffraction. Electron diffraction is one of the most rapidly evolving fields in chemistry and crystallography.
For a series of five consecutive months, ELDICO has set up webinars with renowned scientists in the field of 3D-Electron Diffraction (3D-ED). Starting November 10th, these ED pioneers, among which Mauro Gemmi, Ute Kolb and Simon Parsons, will provide an ABC on nano-crystallography, valuable insights from the industry, best practices, and many other stimulating subjects. Our first invited speaker is Dr. Tim Grüne, Head of Centre for X-Ray Structure Analysis at University of Vienna and Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at ELDICO. Covered topics are the technology itself and its applications from small molecules, over MOFs to biomolecules. The commercial aspects of the technology will also be tackled in order to demonstrate the full disruptive potential electron diffraction will have in the future.
You can register well in advance for our webinar here
Meet the speakers:
Tuesday, 10th of November, 3pm-4pm.
Title: ‘Structure Determination with Electron Diffraction (ED): Concept, instrumentation and practical aspects of applications’
Title: ‘The nano-crystallography revolution: From inorganic nanoparticles to protein nanocrystals.’
Dr. Ute Kolb - Head of the Centre for High Resolution Electron Microscopy (EMC-M) at Johannes Gutenberg University, Professor at Faculty of Materials Sciences and Geo Sciences Technical University, Darmstadt, Germany
